This incident took place in May 2022 in the Bahoman area of Sheikhupura district (Punjab,Pakistan), where a Muslim named Zain Ali was killed as a result of firing carried out by members of the Ahmadiyya Jamaat.
In this area, members of the Ahmadiyya Jamaat are not only influential but also reportedly use their financial power to intimidate, threaten, and harass local Muslims. According to information gathered from residents of the area and its surroundings, armed members of the Ahmadiyya Jamaat spread fear and terror in the region, and are also reportedly involved in the drug trade.
Further details of this incident and the statement of the plaintiff in the case are provided in the video below.
Hussnain Ali (Plaintiff, Brother of the Deceased):
About a month and a half before the incident, my brother Zain Ali shouted the slogan “Long live the Finality of Prophethood” after Fajr prayer at the Gulzar-e-Madina Mosque in the area. Following this, a relative of the Ahmadis slapped my brother for raising the slogan, but the worshippers in the mosque expelled the person who slapped him.
After this incident, members of the Ahmadiyya Jamaat began creating difficulties for us in the area, threatening and intimidating us. We informed the local police station and the SHO about the incidents of threats and harassment, but due to the influence of the accused, the police took no legal action against them.
One day, while my brother, I and a few others were returning from a funeral prayer, the accused associated with the Ahmadiyya Jamaat began hurling obscene insults at my brother and the others. They then started firing and said, “The one who used to chant slogans for the Finality of Prophethood and act as a defender of the faith is now no more.”
